[Sunhelp] Install Sun 9.0GB SCSI on Sun Sparc 2 SunOS 4.1.3 (Help)

Hi,

I'm trying to install a Sun UltraSCSI disk (Seagate 9.0GB ST19171W)VHDC1
(68), without much success.

I have placed the disk on the SCSI bus in the following manner:-

esp1 (mini scsi 50)controller SCSI CSS

Micropolis 4.29GB (DB-68) scsi id 3

Sun CD-ROM (mini scsi 50) scsi id 6

Ultra Scsi 9.0GB (mini scsi 68) scsi id 4


probe-scsi-all determines that the above are present and the Ultra is Target
1

But, dmesg states

Unfortunately I am unable to figure out the unit number for the drive.

Running sundiag (2.3.1) does not disclose the presence of the Ultra nor the
Sun CD-ROM.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.
