I rather doubt we're hurting the number of support contracts being sold --- for
any important Sun installation, a support contract is bought automatically (the
University I work for does, and we're the least likely place to spend that much
money). Informal support is fine for puzzling out niggles, or trying to tweak
the performance, but when the CPU on your payroll system goes bang, you want a
Sun engineer arrive with the right part yesterday.

To be semi charitable to Sun, maybe this is a case of someone in Sun saying
"get that guy to get rid of those confidential PDF's" and some eager lawyer
trying to get the site shutdown in order to make a name for himself/herself.
