Actually the Linux box has 2 network cards ( 10Mbit and 100Mbit). It has
the addresses 10.0.1.1 (10 Mbps) and 10.0.0.1 (100 Mbps). The machines
with 100 Mbit cards are on subnet 10.0.0.0/255.255.255.0 and use 10.0.0.1
as their gw. Vice versa for the 10 Mbit. The Linux box also does IP masq
for all the boxes.

All the other (working) machines have their default gateway set to the
appropriate address of the IP Masq Linux box (10.0.0.1/10.0.1.1).

I've got the sun3 default routing out on its own address to simplify
things.

thanks,
Tim
