Hi all,

I got an error alert from someone here working at a
Sparc SS20, dual CPU, equipped with two internal disks and
one external one:

> c0t1d0 <SEAGATE-ST15230N
> c0t2d0 <SEAGATE-SX410800N

perhaps a typo, it's a 9GB disk (ST410800N a.k.a. Elite 9)

> c0t3d0 <SEAGATE-ST15150N

The external disk is terminated actively.

Now the error messages:

> Jun 11 08:37:37 rs17 unix: esp: State=RESEL Last State=FREE
> Jun 11 08:37:37 rs17 unix: esp: Latched stat=0x93<IPND,XZERO,CD,IO> intr=0x8<FCMP> fifo 0x80

> Jun 11 08:37:38 rs17 unix: WARNING: /iommu at f,e0000000/sbus at f,e0001000/espdma at f,400000/esp at f,800000/sd at 2,0 (sd2):

> Jun 11 08:37:38 rs17 unix: giving up

Does that mean that the disk will be dying soon ?

Thanks, Steffen
