Ok, here's the story.  The Tekram 390f board does not use the Symbios
reference design (despite having a 53C875 chip), so it won't work (I
think that the problem is specific to Solaris 7).

   Tekram is still working with Sun for an official driver for Solaris 7.
   
   Before that, check support at tekram.com.tw for a manual installation
   procedure to work with Solaris 7.

If you find a workaround, please post it here, it would be nice to have in
the archives.
