I just realized what it was - I had the PGX32 set (via GFXconfig -i) to
"default" resolution.. which on the '10 is 1152x900, but on the '20 is
1280x1024.  I ran xdpyinfo, yeah, I was at 1280x1024. 8-)

I've got it set back to 1152x900x85hz for now.  Man, this is nice.  THe
'10 I had, had some ghosting problems (may have been the cable), but this
20 is the nicest monitor I've ever seen.

(and I can actually tell what things are set at, with proper onscreen
 display, instead of that damned remote..)
