Sorry, I got mixed up, here's the snippet from that post about the
pentium pro
Ok: Real world application.  Sterling Commerce Connect:Direct for NT
running
on
IBM Netfinity 7000, Dual PPro 200MHZ, 512MB RAM, etc...
(We transfer mainframe data over IP at a rate of 20 to 30 GIG per day)

Max observed troughput:  300K p/s

We switched over to a Sun 170Mhz, runnong the Unix version of the same
software,
on Solaris 2.6   NOTHING ELSE WAS CHANGED

Max observed troughtput : 8MB p/s
