You'll be lucky :)

1) AFAIK you need to update the system ROM. But sometimes that breaks
some other things. Otherwise it sees the size of the disk modulo 8.

2) I very very much doubt it. It's not a standard interface AFAIKs. To
be honest I've not found those machines to run well in anything but
Solaris, but no doubt at least one person on this site will disagree.
