[SPARCbook] ultrabook I - no sign of life

subsequent to my earlier mail: I don't think I had the AC failure set properly; 
I've now connected it to the return and it shows AC connection and battery 
charging on the status indicator.  If I switch on the machine, I still get the 
flashing heart, meaning unknown; a flashing speaker; and no other sign of life.  
Is this because of the zero memory?
