[SPARCbook] 3000XT PCMCIA cdrom problem

Here we go:

    CD-ROM has to support 512 byte block size.
    CD-ROM has to attach to the *on board* SCSI connector.
    CD-ROM has to be set to SCSI ID #6
    CD-ROM needs good, dependable power (not on batteries, if applicable)
    The SCSI chain needs to be terminated, prefer "active" termination.

Given all that, you should be able to simply power on the unit, get to the
OpenBoot prompt "ok>", and then issue "boot cdrom".

If that doesn't work, then reset the NVRAM contents to default (check "help"
info for OpenBoot monitor by typing "help" at "ok>" prompt) and try again.

If youa re still stuck, describe your ocnfiguration in detail.
