[SPARCbook] Linux 2.4 kernel?

Has anyone gotten a Linux 2.4.x kernel to successfully build/boot on a
Sparcbook? I tried a 2.4.0 kernel, and got it to compile, but it hung as
soon as it start executing the kernel.
Anyone have better luck?
