To implement ppp on Sparkbook using the internal modem, follow Greg's advice
re cua/c and "term/c" and then follow the excellent cookbook for
implementation of ppp on Solaris located at http:/www.kemptston.net/solaris.
It worked for me using Solaris 5.1 and 6 on a Sparkbook3.  Use 36,400 as
your modem speed.  You don't need a pcmcia if all you are doing is email or
testing your connection.  I wrote a long how-to on this.  It may be in the
archives.  Wish you luck
