[rescue] 3-1-4-3 beep error codes on Sun Ultra20 m2 system

I am assuming as it's a Tyan motherboard this is a x86-64 box. My memory is
a bit hazy with Ultras an architecture in later models.

At that age, I'd also recommend refreshing the thermal compound on the CPU.

I have a similar era Tyan motherboard and it did the black screen, full
fans, no response thing when one if the CPUs (it's a Dual Xeon) died. It
may also be from a CPU fault or Temperature out of acceptable range issue.
Mostly just theory based on a similar board I've been tooling with recently.

Also my Tyan board is a PhoenixBIOS board and has a lot of similar beep
codes but not one like that. It might be worth googling that code with Tyan
or PhoenixBIOS?

I can tell you that mine just issues a 1-3 beep code for a graphics card
failure.

Again, not sure if that helps but I thought I'd chuck it in.

Fan(s) wind up to full speed, but no output what-so-ever on the monitor.
Fans
never wind down.

Nothing
jumps out at me.

at anyway, or maybe too many years dealing with Apple PRAM issues. Power
down, pull old battery. Multimeter says .7 volts, should be 3v. Cr2032
battery, same as just about everyone uses. Check new battery for correct
voltage, then plug back in and reapply power.

3-1-4-3. Test that twice.

nothing with that beep code.

motherboard powered Sun Ultra 20 M2 boxes, its for old IBM Thinkpads. Here
are a couple of hits.
