As I mentioned - V5 in an IPX, no issue. It's not very fast, but it's
not slower than the original disk drive (and much, much roomier). Had
V5 been much cheaper, I would have bought a whole bunch to replace all
the 50 pins HDD in my vintage hardware :-)

V6 is a full redesign ; V3/V4/V5 are pretty much functionally
identical but V5 uses a much smaller PCB. Apparently, V6 should be
faster with support for 10 MB synchronous SCSI-2, but is less
compatible with older hardware... at least that's what I gather from
the website and comments in forums, I don't own a V6.
