You're welcome!  I ruined a couple of NVRAMs before figuring that out.  I
can't say that all the compatible parts consistently have the battery at
the same end, but all the ST packages I've had open were laid out
identically.

Also, if you're doing a battery replacement for a machine that has sbus
slots just over the NVRAM, you might need to use extra-long leads and
locate the battery holder elsewhere.  I updated that album with a few
photos of an E3000 clock board and E3000 I/O board to illustrate that.
I'm using much thicker wire than necessary, so I'm not going to worry
about the length of the run.
