[rescue] Old books available, and how to recycle?

Came across a pile of books today, happy to pass them on to anyone interested
for actual postage:

Discover Office 97

CD-Mom

Upgrading & Repairing PCs, 8th edition

Essential Windows NT System Administration (O 'Reilly)

Networking for Dummied

All are about 15 years old, and I thought I'd offer them here before they head
off to a landfill or recycling center.

BTW, what can one do to dispose of paperback books 'correctly'? I'm under the
impression that conventional recycling is not the preferred method (recyclers
can't handle bound books)...
