if it has an sbus slot, i'd say yes.  isn't the qfe just 4 hmes?
that's what the onboard ethernet is.

better than an ss2, but maybe not a lot.  2x?  -maybe- 5x.

you might be able to tune the kernel to devote more resources to
networking, and improve performance that way.
