It's typical for manufacturer's of computers to only specify the memory
configuration limits in terms of what they tested for the configurations
that they sold, not how much it can actually use (and sometims the higher
capacity memory just wasn't available on the market initially).  Apple
never said my SE/30 could take 128MB of RAM, and SGI never said my
Indigo^2 could have 1GB, but they work great with that much memory - most
of my machines have more memory than any manufacturer said it could have.
