rsnapshot added to the method above WorksForMe and gives me multiple generations
with very low overhead.  (mirrored servers onsite, one server offsite,
and some floating disks)

The initial offsite disks were backed up locally and then transported
via sneakernet.  Sometimes I fork
and park a 4th copy somewhere, but it doesn't happen nearly as often.
