I know for a fact that the GTI VR6 can do it, because I've sat in it as 
it happened.  It takes *forever* to get up to speed though.  It honestly 
wouldn't surprise me if the 2.0T could do it.

My Audi gets up there fairly quickly, and then the speed limiter takes 
the wind out of its sails.
