[rescue] DG AViiON AV8500 info requested

Did you try the obvious like pull and re-install all of those boards?

I rescued an old VMEbus server system with pretty much the same symptoms, and
it was just corrosion from storage for about 4 years.  Reseating exposed fresh
copper and it worked great.

Also, two Aviion websites that I have bookmarked say that this machine will
refuse to boot if the battery is dead.

However, at least two Aviions I've seen give an error on the console when the
battery is dead, and then halt.

Maybe the 8500 is different of course.

Just curious, do you have the 88K based 8500, or the Pentium based 8500+?
