Hrm, most of my phones are 7960Gs rather than plain 7960s, but I doubt
that's would make a difference.

Could be a midspan vs endspan thing.

If it's modern and supports PoE, it uses 802.3af. Only Cisco would have
the gall to create something non-standard.
