[rescue] NSR: never a Java programmer around when you need one

Thanks, all of you... I did look into trying an upgrade, but the jdk
used is included with and installed by the upgrade provided by our
vendor, so I hesitate to modify it into something they wouldn't then
support. I have asked them about the possibility,  though.

Can you safely upgrade to JDK 6?  That might take of it.
