Yeah, that's what I did.

In fact, on my CD-R burner, going slow usually works better when going
to other PCs too.

My DVD burner seems to make better CDs than my CD burner does, and
usually they work anywhere.

It's an NEC 3520a. NEC seems make just about the best burners out there.
