On one hand, I'm inclined to believe Aaron. Unfortunately, I don't
have anything to go by, as I can't see his monitor, so my opinion is
worthless.

Unfortunately, CRTs and LCDs are very, very difficult to take good
pictures of. While I may feel uneasy about forcing my uninformed
opinion on others, I can take a couple comparison shots. These are my
CRT (which is not the best in the world, but has been more than good
enough for my gaming -- Samsung SyncMaster 955DF at 1280x1024x16 bits
at 75 hz) and my father's laptop screen, which is some no-name brand
thing with ... what's popular now, TFT? It's a pretty clean, bright
display, about what I'd expect from a modern laptop.

It would seem to contradict Mr. Finley's claims, but I still tend to
believe him, and I say again that LCDs are a PITA to photograph.
