Wait about 6 weeks until the Macwingnuts turn around and start

What Apple can do is add some L3 cache and interleave memory out the
wazoo, thereby bumping up performance.  Dell et al won't follow suit
because it would add to their costs, and IBM/Lenovo is probably on
price parity with Apple hardware anyways.

Apple may have a chance due to superior design, but it will be a rough
slog.

SPARC is dead in the water in any case unless Sun starts innovating
again... the multi-thread chips seem like a good idea, and people seem
to like the V20z and other Opteron-based hardware.  And Solaris 10
rocks.

They haven't changed their pricing on the V100 in years, as an example.
