I've rarely found a need to have a GUI console on more than one machine
at a time, unless I've got a 'doze (or pre 10.2 Mac) and a Unix system
and a need to run X11 applications and have no proper X11 server.

I guess my needs are simple, though; give me ssh and screen, and I'm
reasonably happy.
