Wow, NetGear GS105 5-port 10/100/1000 switch is now $80ish, my mac has
gig ethernet built in, and I can put it in Amy's machine for ~25-30.

I may go gigabit on the local network for just over a hundred bucks soon..

(with a 10/100 interface on the PIX and a 6 meg / 608 kilobit Net connection,
 talk about a bottleneck..)
