[rescue] sgi 4Dwm error message

Folks-

My Challenge L has no graphics hardware, so I use X to get to it. This has
been uneventful since the Challenge arrived here.

Today, however, I get something new. If I X in to the machine from Xfree86
on my laptop, I get the following error:

	4Dwm: Unable to use bitmap/image file /usr/lib/images/default.icon

and my icons are all just beige squares with the titles on them.

If I X in from my HP Xterminal, however, I get no error message, and the
icons are OK.

The same things happen if I use 4Dwm off another SGI I have here. Both are
running IRIX 6.5.20

Nothing has changed on the SGIs since this worked yesterday.

The laptop suffered a backlight failure today, and is now using an external
monitor. AFAIK, it's using the same color depth, screen resolution as it
did on the internal LCD, but I can't be sure. I don't see how this could
break the icons, but it's the only change.

How can I fix this?

Googling the error message didn't turn up much; i'm hoping to fare better
with you guys.

Thanks.

-Shel
