   I've finally gotten around to writing the guide I wish I'd had when I
started getting into FDDI last year. As the title implies, it's focused
on the practical aspects: here's what you need, here's what it looks like,
and this is how you hook it together.

   It's the most recent update listed at www.siliconsamsara.org. For those
of you who know FDDI: what technical mistakes have I made? For those of you
who don't: what have I left out that you'd like to know? Does it really
cover everything needed to start using FDDI from scratch?
