Hmmm. So it seams to be the "new" SIMM type vs. the older type in some
7xx machines.

The E55 has 8 sockets for 72 pin PS/2 SIMM like modules. These modules
have the same form factor and connector as regular PS/2 SIMMs, but the
HP version has a different pinout so that you can't use generic PeeCee
PS/2 SIMMs... I have 4 x A2575 32 MB 72 pin SIMMs in my E55. I know the
other modules you are thinking about. I have a 720 that uses this
modules.
