SunOS 4.X had Solaris naming before Solaris 2.X existed.

The term Solaris first applied to the packaging of SunOS + OpenWindows

Solaris 1.0 = SunOS 4.1.1 + OpenWindows 2
Solaris 1.0.1 = SunOS 4.1.2 + OpenWindows 2
Solaris 1.1 = SunOS 4.1.3 + OpenWindows 3
