He did say 10.1, so it's possible.  Mac OS X has been getting -faster-
with each release.  The beta of 10.3 I played with -zoooomed-.  I shit
you not: Finder operations and general UI responsiveness were twice as
snappy.  The system did take longer to boot, but it was a very pleasant
experience from there on out.  I'm especially happy about the new
"exposi" feature.
