Actually I've used an FDDI/S 2.0 card under Solaris 8 without any 
problems. I installed the card in an LX, and loaded the 2.0 software 
from the CD that came with the card, and even tho it's not supposed to 
work, it does. I'm not sure if it will work with Solaris 9 or not, 
havn't tried that yet, but I might soon.
