[rescue] Open Source OS resources for Pen Computers?

I was wondering if any of you had any experience
working with pen/slate computers and Open Source
OS's?  A guy at the swap yesterday had P166Mhz
Fujitsu Point 1600's w/keybd and AC for $60.

I was thinking this might make a cool web pad
for the living room (has PCMCIA), but it would
be cooler with an Open Source OS on it.

I'm finding some web resources that look useful,
but was just wondering how much of a time-sync it
might turn into. ;-)
