Instead of clothes-pinning it to something else on the motherboard, why not
just use double-sided sticky tape, and attach it to the case wall about 
2" back (to the right) of where it is now?  That's what I did with one of
my first overclocked Celeron 300 systems a few years ago - added 2-3 
cage fans to the case, sticky-taped in appropriate locations.
