I'm in Jerusalem, sort of the direction it would take if it were flying
from Belgium over the Nile.

Last night started the Jewish holiday of passover. Commemorating the
Jews leaving Egypt. after almost 400 years of slavery. According to the
story, in order for the king of Egypt to let them go, G-D had to send
them 10 plaugues. The last was the angel of death to kill their firstborn
son (the king of Egypt had decreed the murder of the Jew's first born sons).

The Jews marked their doors with the blood of a lamb, and the angel of
death "passed over" their homes. In English the name of the holiday is
"Passover".

I was both refering to the holiday as a greeting and a pun on being passed
over by the battery. :-)
