Well it *is* a laptop.  I have two other IDE systems;  my Ultra 5 and 
my Duron linux machine (and only because I was doing something that 
needed more space than I had available on SCSI at the time... normally 
it would have a 9GB and 18GB SCSI drives in there with Adaptec 
AHA2940UW).  All my other personal machines are SCSI.  And at work it 
is all hardware RAID, often on a SAN with dynamic multipathing.

But being on the recovery side of a year and a half of unemployment, 
I've got SCSI tastes on an IDE budget right now.
