You can put FCAL boards in an E3000.  In fact, mine has FCAL installed,
iirc.  And yes, it too tops out at 4GB per CPU board, iirc, with room
for three CPU boards and one I/O board.  (The only part of the puzzle I
was missing was, indeed, a chassis to put FCAL disks in.)
