Wow, it is worse than it appears.  So in other words, I could buy
something off pricewatch.com, slap it in a decent 1U case, and have
the same thing for under a grand.

Sun's x86 business plan sounds like the South Park dwarves' business
plan:

1.  Use clone hw no different from no-name stuff
2.  ???????
3.  BIG PROFITS !
