It's probably far more controllable for people that don't know how to
drive a 4x4 The Right Way. It might also be easier to drive for folks
that, a) don't know about diesel engines b) aren't used to the size of
the H1, or c) find the H1 uncomfortable. It is built on a Chevy/GM's
large SUV chassis, so the chassis dynamics are going to be familiar to
most people - as well as the suspension geometry and behavior.

However, I'd be very surprised if it was actually more capable off road
- rather than simply easier for laymen to control. They do have a
learning curve, so you kinda have to take that into account. But, a
narrow chassis, short wheelbase, and mushy transmission probably make
the H2 *much* easier to sit in and make go the first time.

I'm not saying it isn't the case, but I'd be very surprised if it was.

There was a guy around here selling an H1 recently - $45k. Talk about
tempting...
