Uh.... not really.  They wanted to customize it to fit OpenBSD better.
Darren Reed didn't want them to and rattled his saber.  So they said
"screw you" and took it out and wrote a NICER replacement.  Then Darren
backed down.  Too late.

I've watched the OpenBSD mailing lists and Darren's exchanges... as much
as people bitch about Theo, Darren seems much more willing to pick a
fight.
