This was a common toytrick for manufacturers. I have seen clear cased 1st
generation Macs (20 were made and given to the development team). I suspect
what you are seeing is a limited edition made for the design team OR a
salesmans sample. Its a simple thing to use clear plastic in the injection
molders. In fact, injection molding yeilds the hazy opaqueness seen here.
