libxml2 is pretty well regression tested.  :-)  Yeah, I'm talking of 
GTK2.  GTK 1 hasn't seen any development for quite a few months, and
isn't likely to get any more, ever.  GTK2 fixes a lot of the stupid API
stuff from GTK1, and adds some API that used to be in separate modules,
and other stuff like that.  I don't know much about it, but I understand
that the API is much improved.
