I think Hypothermia or Hypoxia would be the best, you just go to sleep...

This is probably going to sound funny, but if you are gonna get crispied in a 
really big hot fire, it would be pretty quick. Oxygen Starvation would put 
you down (unconcious) in a minute or so.  Of course, that minute or so would 
be pretty intolerable.

The panic of drowning would really suck, but if it was in good cold water, 
(preferably salt water) and the Mamilian Dive Reflex kicks in, you stand a 
chance of being revivable with a minimum of brain injury for up to an hour...
