[rescue] SGI, MIPS, and IA-64

I was at MIPS, at least the SGI part of MIPS, and they were actively
developing the new chips. I saw their 128 node cluster running thermal
simulations of the new R18K which is out soon. So they are still in the
game, actually it was funny because as far as they told me all they have
left from their NT experiments is the bad SGI logo....

Hopefully the IA-64 will go the way of the i860......
