[rescue] MipsPro Compilers

How tolerant  is the mipspro compiler?

I'm trying to compile bash on my R4400 Indigo and MipsPro is throwing out 
tons and tons of warning messages, most of them look like the compiler 
complaining about sloppy gcc-isms...
after all, it is GNU-Bash...  : ( 

is this thing going to work, in spite of being (apparently) crap code?

Whoops, nevermind...  the compile just imploded, crashing the xterm it was 
running in as well...  Thanks, Richard...
