[rescue] TFT LCD and Suns/SGI q's

Just noticed that according to the specs on Xenon's site
(http://www.xenontel.com/eng/1810em.html), the monitor only has a 70-degree
viewing angle. This is VERY low for an LCD monitor. The norm seems to be
140-to-160 degrees. Basically, it means that if you're even 35 degrees off
from center viewing the monitor then the colors get all wonky.

That's the only quality gothcha I've found so far... But like I said, image
quality varies widely.

That is true, however on my Indigo2 the Solid Impact board has both 13W3
and VGA-style DB15 connectors. I think some of the Suns do this too.

OK, might spring for an extended warranty or try to buy one with a
credit card which doubles the warranty or somesuch.

The Xenon looks nice. I love my SGI 20" Trinitron, but sure would like
to have my desk back :-)
