Well as some of you have probably noticed Im a reader of Bob Cringely, and
he's got me pretty much convinced that the Telco's are working to
deliberately put the CLEC's out of business, and a lot of regulators and
lawmakers are doing their level best to help them.

COmbine that with the number of small companies (likely DSL customers) going
under without paying their often large bills, and the CLECs as in pretty bad
shape.

If they're not giving you an option to cancel without penalty, they
should.  If they are then this may still be your best bet even though the
ILEC will drag their feet getting the line transferred and you'll probably
be down for a week.

I can't get Rhythms or Covad, but has anyone else noticed they're not
doing very well financially either?  I wonder if there will be any CLECs
left in a year or two.
