Is this guy for real?  I can't believe this jerk forwarded this as a
complain't against me! In case I was somehow unclear, I AM ONLY LOOKING
FOR THE GNU SOFTWARE THAT COMES WITH THE MEDIA KIT, NOT SOLARIS ITSELF.
I have already downloaded, AND REGISTERED FOR that with Sun.  For those
not smart enough to read the GNU public license for themselves (read:
Devin Ganger) let me paraphrase:

"Our General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you have the
freedom to distribute copies of free software (and charge for this
service if you wish), that you receive source code or can get it if you
want
it, that you can change the software or use pieces of it in new free

The media kits for Solaris 8 can be gotten direct from Sun for $75.
This gives you a legitimate license.

By the terms of the Solaris 8 license, no one is allowed to distribute
the media *regardless of whether the recipient has a license or not*;
they may only get the media from Sun or an authorized Sun reseller.

You're pirating, pure and simple.
